Efficiency measurements on applications with fast GaN and SiC MOSFETs

"The use of fast GaN and SiC MOSFETs in power electronic applications introduces new requirements for the measurement of efficiency. This presentation highlights the different frequency ranges at the output of modern frequency converters and addresses the challenges in power measurement. Special attention is given to various parasitic effects. Using practical examples, solutions for minimizing these influences as well as suitable measurement strategies are presented to enable precise and reproducible efficiency determination."
